One thing as well, is that every club will be in the same situation, so prices for players MAY not be as high as they were pre covid, as clubs won't be able to afford the mental transfer fees - only issue I can foresee is the wages part of it.
Gold, did say when we moved within 5 years we'd be in the CL, we got close but completely out the blue. I just hope this isn't an 1 off season which many teams have had in the past.

But it is broadly good news - our revenue are increasing.
In fairness to the dildo brothers, that is one thing they said they would deliver.
Unfortunately for the dildo brothers, they also said they'd deliver a vast range of things that haven't materialised: like a proper football ground with a proper atmosphere.

South, to a degree I agree mate.
I'm just trying to be positive that whilst it's been tough because of the pandemic, this turnover is a huge step in the right direction.
Just hope as I mentioned there will be funds available to spend to help us continue to push on from this brilliant season.

In short, generally speaking, everybody's revenues have risen at roughly the same pace because of the reliance on TV money.
Finishing positions aside.
So to keep gaining an advantage, we have to keep selling out the giant stadium (which was the point of moving to the soul-less athletics bowl in the first place) and/or qualify for Europe.
Other potential revenue streams we could obtain include finally finding a sponsor for the sterile stadium (we'd share that cash with LLDC) and getting fans to buy more merch - which I would hate, because I hate merch. I even hate the shortened word 'merch'.
It's not rocket science. There are only a limited number of revenue streams for clubs like us. And the biggest, TV revenues, are matched by other clubs.

Actually Block, some other sides have - purely because of the value of broadcasting revenues.
So Palace, for example, have seen something similar.
Basically, the big increases in broadcast revenues are across the piece in the Premier League. That means that, generally speaking, the likes of Brighton and Leeds have had the same sort of uplift that we have.
Of course, their overall revenues are not quite as high historically. But they will be in the market for similar players based on the broadcast revenues.
Our longer-term gain will arrive when the stadium is back full for a sustained period, and if we continue to qualify for Europe - thereby securing further bigger revenue streams that will take us away from the mass of clubs gleaning huge TV cash pots.

Yes, it would. But who right now would confidently predict a full season, of full stadiums (for all clubs).
A year's gate money of full crowds, for us is £27 million (2019 pre Covid) or so. Doesn't buy you much.
We will of course have at least 3 European home matches, to boost the coffers, if fans are back!

Other clubs haven't gone from almost being relegated to this, South mate.
This is a huge positive, and with the addition of fans you' hope with the extra money we'd reinvest it.

True, but so have other clubs. Our relative spending power has improved, which is good. But the gap is not significant at all. Yet.
We still won't have vast sums to throw around. So the bigger challenge remains making sure that Moyes etc continue to spot bargains in the market - and they have so far had a good record on that.

Just to give some context, according to the Deloitte Football Money League, our revenues three years ago were around £195m anyway.
So if we're up above the £210m mark, great. But that's around £15m more than three years ago.
Which, these days, will often only buy you the right toes of a decent left back.

Before everybody gets carried away, remember one thing: spending power is relative.
Every Premier League club will receive similar broadcast revenues, giving them similar spending power.
The only big 'improvement' we've made is to finish sixth and increase what we receive for our position, which looks like being around £30m. And, as we know, that will get you a chunk of chunky Seb Haller these days.
Sorry to burst the bubble (they fade and die anyway!), but relative to other clubs in our division we are not in a massively beneficial position as a result of this.

What gives me confidence with Moyes is that he found Coufal and Soucek relatively cheaply.
So, we can find decent players without spending the vast sums we have done on the likes of Anderson.

Granted it will be net profit that determines our spending ability not revenue and you can bet a penny to a pound that if there is a reason not to spend big our owners will find it.
We've still got the Haller proceeds in the bank to so only time will tell whether we have a big transfer window but at least with Moyes and his team calling the shots we should have confidence that the money spent will be spent well, hopefully his restrictions will be minimal.

No real excuses for not having money to sign players then is there?
If only income, determined how much could be spent on signing players.
No mention of what our current wage bill is, outstanding payments on existing transfers (over £110 million at end May 2020) or servicing existing bank debt (£65 million at the same date).
